the world escapes through the parting of your selfish words
never ever wanted to remember never ever wanted to remember
this or you i held myself accountable for never ever wanted to remember
never ever wanted to remember

love, actually.
'it's the happiest part of my day - driving you home.'
'it's the saddest part of my day - leaving you.'

this is noah and marie. they have been together for a year and a half. they have been in love for a year and five months. marie is going to watch the sunset with noah tonight. noah has bought marie a ring. he knows tonight is their night and his hands are shaking with excitement and nerves. marie tastes worry in his kiss and asks him what is wrong. he gets on one knee and tells marie she is the most important person to him in the whole world. tears appear in his eyes and he explains he knows they are young but he can't live another day without knowing she is his.
marie says yes.
all of that was a figment of our imagination.
now, do you want the truth? or something beautiful.

i've got to tell you something. i've just got to - fuck. i've just got to get it off my chest.
i love you. that's it. everything and anything i could tell you. i just really love you.
what do you love about me? she asked
he sat there and thought.
he said, i love your gentle hands. i love the smell of your hair. i love the curve of your lips. i love when we walk down the street, and you hold my hand and lift it and kiss it. i love the loud, childish laugh you have. i love the quiet way you fix the world. and mostly...mostly i love that you chose me.
she smiled.
i love you too.
